Mt Gravatt Community Centre

MGCCI is a not-for-profit, registered charitable organisation located on Logan Road, Upper Mount Gravatt.  

As a community centre, we proactively seek to work with other agencies and organisations to collaboratively deliver flexible, responsive and holistic services for our community. 

Our community centre can be accessed by all members of our community in a diverse number of ways; individually and groups.  There is a place and space for everyone.

Minor Home Modifications

Do you or someone in your household have a disability or mobility condition? MGCCI has funding available to undertake minor home modifications for eligible people living in the program areas between 1st July 2018 and 30th of June 2019.

Our next Conversations With Purpose workshop with the theme of 'Technology and Addictions' at the Holland Park Library is coming up!

We will have an interesting speaker and as always, there will be opportunity to connect and share with other women over the challenges and solutions in our community.

Congratulations to our recent Certificate III Graduates! We are very proud of you and we wish you all the best with your future employment. 

We are offering another Certificate III in Individual Support this year.  Applications close on the 27th February.

Funded by the Palaszczuk Government's Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative, the program provides training in foundation skills, workplace skills, job search activities with literacy and numeracy support, 120 hours work experience, and links to referral services to help overcome individual barriers to learning.

There's always something on at Mount Gravatt Community Centre! Here is our regular program of groups and activities that we are offering in 2019 along with some exciting events that we will keep you up-to-date about.

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated school supplies over the last few weeks!  Thank you to the Lions Club of Brisbane MacGregor AU, who generously donated the below items which will go a long way towards supporting families in our community during back to school time.

Community Support

Provide support to families and individuals living in the local area. Including activities, counselling and referral to other services. 

Aged Care and Disability 

Provide in home support including: domestic assistance, social support, personal care and respite. Also including Home Assist Secure which provides basic maintenance, repairs and modifications. 

Emergency Food Relief

Provides assistance to those in immediate need of food assistance with food hampers. Also can include advocacy and education. MGCCI has a partnership with Acacia Ridge Community Support Inc. and they can provide outreach to our clients.

Bernie's Place

Bernie's Place is Mt Gravatt's newest Venue. It's a beautiful renovated house. Bernie's Place is a space for youth, young family and the CALD community to access.
